Curator’s Comments
Dear community, I am currently researching the attribution of this drawing. It is currently under "French 18th century", though it has been noted, that it could well be German rather than French and perhaps slightly later. Any opinion, hint or comparison is highly appreciated.

It might be by Charles-François Hutin. He was a French artist of the 18th century who worked in Dresden. I do not know any portrait by him but stylistically your drawing is very close to his hand.

Stylistically, it feels close to Charles-Nicolas Cochin II. https://www.getty.edu/art/collection/person/103M0P https://museums.fivecolleges.edu/detail.php?type=related&kv=2011423&t=objects
